Throughout his life, György Kurtág experienced several creative crises, the two most significant occurring in the late 1950s and early 1970s. During these periods, instead of composing, he created gesture drawings. The selection below consists of drawings from the Paul Sacher Stiftung collection, as well as others owned by the Budapest Music Center that were donated by Sári Gerlóczy.
